Access Code System

The first time you submit an evaluation, the system generates a unique code (e.g. PSS-A1B2C3). This code keeps your evaluations private — only you can view your History using this code. Save it somewhere safe; if lost, your past evaluations cannot be recovered.

How to Perform an Evaluation

Complete walkthrough of the 6-step wizard, explained in detail

Step 1
Choose Access Mode
  1. First time here? Click "First time here / I don't have a code yet". You won't need to enter anything at this stage — the system will generate a unique access code (e.g. PSS-A1B2C3) automatically right after you submit your evaluation at the end of Step 6.
  2. Already have a code? Click "I have an access code", then type in the code you saved from a previous evaluation. This links your new evaluation to the same private history, so all your results stay grouped together under one code.
  3. You only need to do this once per session — once selected, the wizard moves you straight to Step 2.
Keep your access code safe — write it down or screenshot it immediately after your first submission. There is no "forgot code" recovery option.
Step 2
Identify Your Phase
  1. Enter your Company/Business Name in the text field provided. This name will appear on all your results and reports, so use the name you want shown.
  2. Read all 4 condition cards carefully: (01) "I have an idea or concept", (02) "I am designing my business model", (03) "My business is running", (04) "My business has run long-term". Each card includes an example sentence describing a realistic UMKM situation — use these examples to help you decide.
  3. Click the card that most closely matches your situation right now — not where you hope to be in the future. This honesty is important because it determines which evaluation purpose (Estimation / Validation / Verification / Monitoring) and which indicators are relevant to you.
  4. Once selected, a blue confirmation box appears at the bottom showing your Identified Phase (e.g. "Implementation Phase") along with a short description of what that phase means.
  5. Review the identified phase, then click the Next button to continue.
Not sure which phase fits? Re-read all 4 examples one more time — they're written using everyday UMKM scenarios, not technical jargon.
Step 3
Select Evaluation Elements
  1. Evaluation Scope is filled in automatically based on the phase you identified in Step 2 (e.g. Planning → "PSS Offering", Development → "Business Model Proposal"). No action is needed here — just review it.
  2. Select your Perspective: choose between Provider (evaluating from your business's point of view — cost, environmental impact, social relationships), Customer (evaluating acceptance/satisfaction from the customer's point of view), or Both (a fully combined evaluation covering all criteria).
  3. As soon as you choose a perspective, the relevant evaluation criteria appear automatically as colored tags below it (e.g. Economic, Environmental, Social for Provider; Acceptance for Customer).
  4. Click Next once your perspective is selected.
For the most comprehensive sustainability picture, select "Both" perspectives — but if you have limited time, "Provider" alone still gives a solid TBL (Triple Bottom Line) assessment.
Step 4
Review Extracted Indicators
  1. Based on your phase, perspective, and criteria from Steps 2–3, the system automatically pulls all matching indicators from the 135-indicator database — no manual searching needed.
  2. A summary bar at the top shows your filter results: phase, perspective, and total number of indicators extracted (e.g. "Operation · Provider · 20 indicators").
  3. Indicators are grouped by aspect (Economic, Environmental, Social, etc.), each shown with its sub-aspect label (e.g. "Cost efficiency", "Functional fitness").
  4. Click the ? icon next to any indicator to open a tooltip explaining what that indicator measures in plain language — read this if a title is unclear.
  5. This step is purely for review — no selection happens yet. Click Next when you're ready to customize.
Take your time reading the tooltips here — understanding each indicator now makes scoring in Step 6 much faster and more accurate.
Step 5
Customize Indicators
  1. All extracted indicators from Step 4 are checked (selected) by default — this means the system assumes you want to include all of them.
  2. Uncheck any indicator that genuinely doesn't apply to your type of business. For example, if your PSS doesn't involve physical waste, you can uncheck waste-related indicators.
  3. A live counter at the bottom of the list updates as you check/uncheck, showing exactly how many indicators are currently selected (e.g. "13 of 20 indicators selected").
  4. Click Next — Score once you're satisfied with your final indicator list.
Don't remove too many indicators — keeping more of them gives a more complete and representative sustainability evaluation. Only remove ones that are truly irrelevant.
Step 6
Score & Submit
  1. For every indicator in your final list, click a score button from 1 (Very Low) to 5 (Very High) using the Likert scale legend shown at the top of the page.
  2. As soon as you click a score, a short description box appears directly below that indicator, explaining in plain language what that specific score means for that specific indicator (e.g. "Poor — standardization below expectations").
  3. You can change your score at any time before submitting by simply clicking a different number — the description updates instantly.
  4. A small badge near the top tracks your progress (how many of the total indicators have been scored so far).
  5. Once every indicator has a score, the Submit Evaluation button becomes active. Click it to finish.
  6. After submitting, you'll be redirected automatically to the Results page — and if this was your first-ever evaluation, your new access code will be displayed prominently at the top so you can save it.
Score honestly based on your current real situation — not your aspiration or ideal target. Honest scores give you the most useful insights for real decision-making.

Tips & FAQ

Common questions and best practices

? How do I know which life cycle phase I am in?

Read the 4 condition cards in Step 1. Each card has a description and a real-world UMKM example. Choose the one that most closely matches your current situation — not your future goal.

? Can I evaluate the same company multiple times?

Yes! You can perform multiple evaluations — at different phases or time periods. All evaluations are saved in History with their date and time, under the same access code.

? What does a score of 3 mean?

Score 3 = Moderate — your business meets basic expectations for that indicator. Aim to improve indicators scored 3 or below as part of your sustainability action plan.

? Should I select Provider, Customer, or Both?

For a comprehensive evaluation, select "Both". If you have limited time, "Provider" gives the most useful TBL (Triple Bottom Line) sustainability perspective for business decisions.

? Can I go back and change my answers?

Yes — use the Back button in each step to return and make changes before submitting. Once you click Submit Evaluation, the scores can no longer be edited.

? What happens after I submit?

Your evaluation is saved and you are automatically redirected to the Results page showing your scores, charts, strengths, and weaknesses. If it was your first evaluation, your new access code is also shown there.

? I lost my access code — can I recover my history?

Unfortunately no — the access code is the only key to your private history and there is no recovery mechanism. Always save your code immediately after your first submission.
